Outline
Courtside Company are an upcoming Manchester-based, 90's americana inspired streetwear company. They came to us for social media content to promote their current clothing drop. We were tasked with creating coherent, on-brand and stand-out content across image, short-form and long-form formats.
Our content was to be vibrant and vintage-inspired, which rides the recent Y2K revival, whilst also engaging an audience who is hungry for nostalgic and retro content that cuts through in a modern, homogenous age.

"This is phenomenal work"
- Dean, Courtside founder, after final work showcase

CONTENT ORGANISATION
Posts are organised by colour or sub-theme, such as the lilac-based stills (above, top) or the cutout-style arrangements (above).
EDITORIAL NOT COMMERCIAL
To elevate the look and feel of our campaign, and simultaneously engage the vintage aesthetic within our creative, we opted to pursue an editorial design language in our shoots and edits. This meant utilising print textures, physical-film emulation and stark fashion-shoot lighting.
With every other brand shooting social content in a digital, online-focused manner, this was a way we could stand out and create lasting content.
MULTI-IMAGE POSTS
Posts designed to form one seamless image when posted to Instagram as a carousel - noted as improving engagement.

The magazine post is an homage to the 80s-90s hiphop magazine "Fresh!", from which we've drawn inspiration for much of the shoot.

PRODUCT SHOTS
Beyond showing the clothes on models, we wanted to draw attention to the garments themselves

MARKETING AD - THE BRIEFCASE
Our "Pulp Fiction" inspired, 90s themed short film - to be used for a promoted post on Instagram/TikTok, or to launch a brand YouTube channel.

FOOTNOTE
I would like to thank the other members of the group who handled areas such as research, TikTok trends and behind the scenes content, so that I could focus on the creative and production.
I'd also like to thank the models we used, and I hope that - despite the content not being properly used - it helps bolster their respective portfolios. If nothing else comes of this, hopefully it will help them get work in the future.
